CC Sabathia could start Tuesday; Adam Warren to throw sim game
Over the course of June, the New York Yankees have been without both CC Sabathia and Adam Warren. However, all that could change in the next few days. Prior to the second game of a three-game set against the Houston Astros, manager Joe Girardi hinted Sabathia could return to the Yankees rotation on Tuesday. Sabathia was placed on the disabled list on June 13 after he exited his start against the Los Angeles Angels with a hamstring injury.

While the rotation stepped up in the wake of Sabathia's absence, there's no doubt they'll be happy to have the 17-year veteran back. Prior to Sabathia's DL stint, he was 7-2 with a 3.46 ERA in 75.1 innings. Sabathia isn't the only player slated to return in the near future; reliever Adam Warren is slated to throw a simulated game tomorrow. If all goes well, Warren could be activated from the disabled list as early as next week.

Warren was placed on the 10-day disabled list on June 20 with a shoulder injury. Prior to Warren's DL stint, he went 2-1 with a 2.23 ERA in 32.1 innings.
