Chance Adams one step closer to the Bronx
Recent addition to Baseball America’s Top 100 prospects list, and the 7th overall prospect in the Yankees' system, Chance Adams appears to be on the move to Scranton. Josh Norris of Baseball America originally reported that, although it may not be announced just yet, all signs point to Adams’ next start occurring Monday for the Scranton/Wilkes Barre RailRiders. The report was since been confirmed by Joel Sherman of The New York Post.
It appears Chance Adams is on the verge of being promoted to Triple-A. Might not happen today, but I expect his next turn to be with SWB.

Hear this is correct, Adams, 1 of #Yankees best SP prospects, is going to start Mon for SWB. https://t.co/hz3O3RX0Pc — Joel Sherman (@Joelsherman1) May 12, 2017
After going 13-1 with a 2.33 ERA in 2016 with Double-A Trenton and High-A Tampa, Adams is off to another great start. So far in 2017, the 22-year-old is 4-0 with a minuscule 1.03 ERA for Trenton and will now get his shot to display his talents at the Triple-A level. With higher ranked pitching prospects James Kaprielian and Justus Sheffield grabbing most of the attention, Adams has somewhat flown under the radar while putting up the strongest numbers of any Yankees' pitching prospect since being called up to High-A ball. If Adams can continue to put up these dazzling numbers in Triple-A, a late season call up to the Bronx is by no means out of the question. Follow me on Twitter, @JaredSaul
