Clint Frazier takes BP for first time since concussion setbacks
Clint Frazier's second spring training with the Yankees was burdened by eerie setbacks from a concussion he suffered over a month ago. But on Monday, the 23-year-old outfielder took a sizable leap forward in his road to recovery.
Frazier took batting practice at the team's player development complex in Tampa, and according to NJ.com's Brendan Kuty, the rookie completed his hitting session and spoke to staff and fans without any issues.

"[Frazier] is continuing to do better, so that's a good thing," Aaron Boone told NJ.com on Thursday. "The doctor has been here every day, so it's been hands on with our neurologist. It's obviously something we're being very cautious with. We listen to the player a lot and all I can tell you is he continues to improve and we feel some momentum is starting to build and hopefully the baseball activities start ramping up. It's something to treat conservatively, but he is getting better every day it seems like. I'm hoping baseball activities are almost upon us and it's just how he progresses. The first time they started to ramp him up it seemed like he had a little bit of a setback. They had to back him off a little bit. So it's going to be baby steps along the way just to see what he can truly handle."
Although the odds of Frazier receiving a spot on the Opening Day roster were slim, he was limited to just two spring training games. On Feb. 24, he suffered a concussion after colliding with the outfield wall against the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton. Since then, Frazier's experienced several setbacks. A few weeks ago, he told reporters that he forgot the names of his cats, and had trouble driving.
Frazier hasn't been cleared to return to game action, but when he does, he will serve as the starting left fielder for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
