Esmil Rogers accepts option

Maybe Esmil Rogers just loves being a Yankee. Rogers was optioned to Triple-A Scranton a few days ago to make room for newly acquired Sergio Santos. Rogers had the choice of accepting the assignment in Scranton or declining and becoming a free agent. He accepted the minor league option and will remain in the Yankees' system, pitching for Triple-A Scranton. His 6.27 ERA is the main reason the bullpen needed a shake up as the season continues.

Also, Esmil Rogers has officially reported to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
