On Monday afternoon, Judge was named the American League "Player of the Month" and "Rookie of the Month" for the month of June. In 28 games during the month of June, Judge went on an absolute tear at the plate. He posted a slash line of .324/.481/.686, and picked up 33 hits in his 102 plate appearances. Judge also hit 10 homers, drove in 25 RBIs and score 30 runs during the month. This is the first time the 25-year-old has been named the American League "Player of the Month." It is the third consecutive month in which Judge took home "Rookie of the Month" honors. Judge is the first AL player to win the award three months in-a-row since Mike Trout in 2012. Judge is only the tenth player ever to win both awards in the same calendar month. He joins Gary Sanchez (August 2016) as the only Yankees to ever accomplish the feat. Currently, Judge leads the American League in multiple offensive categories. Those categories include batting average, home runs, runs batted in, runs and walks. It has truly been a remarkable first half of the season for Judge, as he'll look to continue his hot start in the second half of the season.
