McCann day-to-day with sore foot
The Yankees received some good news Thursday afternoon on catcher Brian McCann after the MRI and CT scans for his sore right foot came back negative. McCann was forced from yesterday's game after one at-bat after experiencing pain in the bottom of his foot. He's now listed as day-to-day. McCann also exited the May 24 Sunday night game against Texas with what Joe Girardi called "cramping", which traveled from the foot to the calf area. McCann was able to play the following day, but it appears it's been a nagging injury for much of the season. Joel Sherman of the NY Post tweeted that the Yankees aren't expected to make a roster move for another catcher, meaning that they expect McCann will be able to play this weekend. McCann's been hot of late, hitting .321 with four homers and 10 RBI over his past 10 games.
Brian McCann underwent an MRI and a CT scan on his right foot – both of which were negative. McCann is considered day-to-day.
