Manfred: possibility of DH in NL gaining momentum

Many around MLB saw this coming eventually, especially now that there's an interleague game somewhere every night, and AL teams are at a disadvantage in NL parks. There's also player safety concerns, which were amplified in the 2015 season after Adam Wainwright tore his achilles when he broke out of the batters box towards first base back in April. Yankees fans remember Chien-Ming Wang circling the bases in Houston when he ultimately injured his foot and derailed his promising career. The MLBPA would likely be on board with the NL adopting the DH over those examples alone. With pitchers making so much money now, it's not worth the risk losing them for long periods of time on something that can be fixed. The DH has been responsible for extending careers and making some players a lot of money in their later years. It only makes sense now that MLB catches up with almost every other baseball league in the country. If you like offense, then rejoice in the fact that the DH could be coming to an NL ballpark near you.
