Report: Chapman decision could come today

According to Pedro Gomez of ESPN, "chances are very high" that MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred will issue a suspension on Aroldis Chapman as early as today, and it could range between 25-30 games.
Chapman said he plans to appeal any suspension that comes his way, and that he "didn't hurt anybody" in the domestic violence incident which took place at his home in Miami last October. Chapman wasn't charged criminally, but that has no bearing on MLB's new domestic violence policy. Manfred is also dealing with domestic violence issues involving Jose Reyes and Yasiel Puig.
A Suspension of over 45 games would've caused Chapman to lose enough service time to where the Yankees could control him for all of 2017, but it's unlikely that mark is reached. The Yankees are well positioned to handle a long ban thanks in part to Dellin Betances and Andrew Miller at the backend of the pen.
The team is off today before their Grapefruit League opener tomorrow afternoon against the Tigers at George M. Steinbrenner Field.
