Spring Training game 4 lineup: 3/6/15
The Yankees will have split-squad action today, as they take on the Phillies from Clearwater this afternoon and the Pirates from GMS Field tonight. Bryan Mitchell gets the start against the Phills.
Here are some other notes, according to Daniel Barbarisi of the Wall Street Journal:
Carlos Beltran will make his debut in RF tonight as he eases back into the fold from offseason elbow surgery.
Alex Rodriguez will DH in the second game to focus more in his at-bats. Manager Joe Girardi said that A-Rod could see the field for the first time relatively soon.
Girardi also said that CC Sabathia and Masahiro Tanaka will each throw one more simulated game before seeing game action, which could come as early as next week.
