Yankeesmageddon, Potential Trade + Mailbag - The Bronx Pinstripes Show #54
This week we kick-off the show talking about some upcoming features to the website, including a Yankees Social page, new designs in the fan shop, daily columns, forums, and more. We discuss Cespedes resigning with the Mets and if he was truly interested in coming to the Yankees, the news that the designated hitter might be coming to the National League soon, the possibility of trading for Angels’ Andrew Heaney, Chapman not facing charges, Hal Steinbrenner’s payroll comments, and Tim Lincecum. We also take a mailbag question about what to see and eat at the new Yankee Stadium. You can get involved with the show by submitting a mailbag question, story, or rant here. Find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Call the voicemail line: 646-480-0342.
Thanks to @joezmcfly for the Twitter question about trading for Andrew Heaney. The Angels are looking for outfield help and the Yankees have not-so-subtly floated Brett Gardner's name this offseason. We discuss what it would take for the Yankees to make that trade happen. Thanks to Julio for the mailbag question about what to do, see, and eat at the new Yankee Stadium. Scott and I list some of the differences between the old and new stadiums, plus give some of our favorite spots to eat and drink. Let us know what we missed.
Last but not least, Scott gives me a hard time for the Patriots loss on Sunday. I'm sure most people who listen to the show are happy about the Patriots not being in the Super Bowl, but I argue that the game would be much more exciting for everybody if the Pats advanced. We also give our early Super Bowl picks (spoiler: Panthers, Panthers, and more Panthers). Submit mailbag questions here. Call the voicemail line: 646-480-0342.
