Todd Frazier thinks netting should be extended
On Wednesday afternoon Todd Frazier lined a foul ball into the seats, which accidentally struck a two-year-old girl and sent her to the hospital. Since then, there has been a debate on baseball extending it's netting along the infield. Frazier was extremely vocal about the situation, saying teams shouldn't wait until 2018 to extend the netting. He thinks it should be done as soon as possible.
Todd Frazier said netting should be put up everywhere ASAP. "2018 is too late. It should be sooner than that."

Frazier also spoke to the father of the two-year-old girl. The father said the girl "is doing okay".
Jaime Garcia to start Sunday
Earlier this week, Joe Girardi said Masahiro Tanaka, Sonny Gray and Jordan Montgomery would pitch in this weekend's series against the Toronto Blue Jays. However, Girardi made a tiny change to Sunday's game and opted for Jaime Garcia to start instead of Montgomery.

No one knows if it's because Garcia was effective in his last start against the Minnesota Twins, or if it's because of Montgomery's innings limit.
Brett Gardner out of starting lineup
On Wednesday afternoon, Brett Gardner was hit by a pitch in his upper back and was taken out of the game a few innings later. Girardi initially hoped Gardner would be in the starting lineup on Friday. However, Gardner wasn't in the starting lineup. It's unclear if it's because of the hit-by-pitch or if Gardner has a standard day off. Regardless, it's possible Gardner could return to the lineup as early as Saturday. Greg Bird is also on the bench for Friday night's game.
Magic Number down to two
Unless a collapse of epic proportions happens, the Yankees are going to make the postseason. It's just a matter of 'when'. Entering play tonight, the Yankees magic number is down to two. The Yankees could clinch tonight if all three of these things happen: NYY wins vs. TOR LAA loses vs. HOU TEX loses vs. OAK Will the Yankees pop some champagne tonight? Only time will tell.
