Update: Yankees prospect Judge expected to miss 3-4 weeks with knee injury
Update - Sunday 12:40 PM
Yankees manager Joe Girardi told Chad Jennings of Lohud.com that the expected timetable for Judge's recovery is three to four weeks, but is subject to change.
"This is kind of what I’m hearing, so I wouldn’t hold me to it," Girardi said to Jennings. "I wouldn't write it etched in stone or type it or whatever you do these days. There’s really no significant damage in either area. So that’s good news."
While Girardi believes Judge will miss at least a month of action, Triple-A manager Al Pedrique thinks otherwise, announcing a much shorter timetable for the 24-year-old outfielder's return.
"The MRI came back negative, so no damage, so that’s a good thing," Pedrique told Shane Hennigan of the Scranton Times-Tribune. "So we feel like with days off, the rest that he’s going to get, he should be ready to go hopefully by the time we get to Charlotte (on July 18). The plan for him is to stay with us.”
Judge was placed on the seven-day Triple-A disabled list on Saturday afternoon.

The anticipation of Aaron Judge's major league debut in the Bronx has been put on hold at least for the time being.
According to Brendan Kuty of NJ.com, MRI test results revealed a mild PCL sprain and a bone bruise on Judge's left knee, and the 24-year-old will not participate in baseball activities for "an undetermined amount of time."
On Saturday afternoon, Judge was placed on the seven-day disabled list by Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after exiting in the fifth inning of Friday night's game with knee soreness. Judge suffered the injury after diving for a ball in the outfield and later running to first base on a ground out to shortstop.
Despite being selected for the Triple-A Home Run Derby and All-Star Game this upcoming week, New York's top-ranked farmhand will not participate in either event. As the International League's Player of the Month in June, Judge hit .343 in 28 games, collecting nine home runs and 28 RBI.
