Yankees make first round of Spring cuts
The New York Yankees have made their first round of Spring cuts this morning, sending three pitchers to minor league camp. According to the Yankees PR Department, the Yankees optioned RHP Domingo Acevedo to Double-A Trenton Thunder. They also reassigned RHP Brady Lail and RHP Trevor Stephan to minor league camp.

Acevedo pitched in one game for the Yankees this Spring, giving up five runs on two hits while retiring two batters. Lail and Stephan were both non-roster invitees this Spring, but failed to make their mark. Stephan gave up seven runs in two innings while Lail gave up three runs in 2.1 innings. More cuts are expected from camp in the coming weeks.
