Yankees trade Rob Refsnyder to Blue Jays for Ryan McBroom
It appears the 'Rob Refsnyder era' has officially come to an end. Earlier today, the Yankees announced they traded Refsnyder to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for 1B Ryan McBroom.

The Yankees spent countless seasons attempting to find a place for Refsnyder on the diamond. While Refsnyder's bat was usually his bright spot, the defense was little to be desired, which is why he never had a set role with the team. Plus, with the surplus of outfielders, Refsnyder became expendable. In 20 games with the Yankees, Refsnyder hit .135/.200/.216 with no homers or RBI. Despite the Yankees recently trading for first baseman Garrett Cooper, the team added more first base depth by adding McBroom to the organization. While in Double-A, McBroom hit .243/.321/.402 with 12 homers and 54 RBI in 96 games. McBroom has been assigned to Double-A Trenton.
