Adam Warren slated to throw bullpen session

It's no surprise the Yankees have a deep bullpen, especially with Aroldis Chapman, David Robertson, Tommy Kahnle, Dellin Betances and Chad Green as potential options. But the Yankees could have another arm back before the end of the regular season. Adam Warren is slated to toss a bullpen session on Wednesday. He's done baseball activity prior to the bullpen session and reported no pain. If all goes well, Warren will throw another bullpen session followed by a simulated game.

Aaron Hicks to get work in at Tampa

While Warren gets work in at the Stadium, Aaron Hicks will fly to Tampa to get in a few at-bats. Hicks will play in a minor league game next Monday. The Yankees plan to activate Hicks at the end of next week.

Aaron Hicks headed to Tampa to hit off live pitching. Adam Warren headed out to do a bullpen.

Clint Frazier cuts his hair

Remember in Spring Training when Clint Frazier had long hair, and it caused so much of a distraction, that he cut it? Well, apparently it's news that Clint Frazier cut his hair again. It's apparently shorter than last time.

And Clint Frazier got another haircut. Much shorter than the last one you remember.

Moving on...

Luis Severino squares off against Bartolo Colon

Luis Severino and Bartolo Colon will face each other in this afternoon's series finale. Here's an interesting tidbit about both starters:

Today's starters, Luis Severino (b. 2/20/94) & Bartolo Colon (b. 5/24/73), were born 20 yrs, 272 days apart. Notes: https://t.co/6jtUUGsBkG

Yankees announce rotation for Toronto series

The Yankees will head to Toronto for their final road trip of the regular season, and Joe Girardi officially released his starting rotation:

#Yankees pitching at #BlueJays will be Tanaka, Gray, Montgomery.

The Yankees tinkered with their rotation because they wanted to keep CC Sabathia off the artificial turf. It's also good to see Jordan Montgomery get another start. But can the Yankees keep their series win-streak alive?

"Do DH's wear cups?"

Chase Headley was the Yankees designated hitter last night, but it didn't go off without a hitch. Headley was hit by a pitch in an...unfortunate area. The hit-by-pitch prompted YES play-by-play analyst Michael Kay to ask if DH's wear cups during today's pregame. I assume the answer is yes. If not...Headley must have been in dire pain.
