Right-hander David Phelps will start Monday's game against the Texas Rangers. Phelps is starting for the injured Sabathia, who has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with elbow stiffness. The recently signed Derek Lowe will back up Phelps out of the bullpen. Also, the Yankees will recall right-hander Ryota Igarashi for tomorrow's game before activating Lowe in time for Monday's game.
