Yankees Jeter Likely Out Several Games

With the way Jeter is swinging the bat lately, this is a very big blow to the Yankees as they prepare for the Boston Red Sox series. Nunez will have to shoulder the load at short, and step up his defensive play!

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Yankees believe Derek Jeter (knee) will miss "several games."

Jeter bruised his knee in the first half of Sunday's doubleheader against the Orioles and was unable to play in the night contest. He could be sidelined for the Yankees' entire three-game series against the Red Sox that begins this Tuesday and ends this Thursday. Eduardo Nunez will presumably fill in at shortstop.
