The Yankees announce that they reassigned seven players to their minor league camp. Infielders Cole Figueroa and Jonathan Galvis, catchers Francisco Arcia and Kyle Higashioka, outfielder Slade Heathcott, and pitchers Jacob Lindgren and Nick Rumbelow have all been sent down.
The Yankees have also optioned Ramon Flores to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Flores had a decent spring hitting a couple home runs but the Yankees outfield is set so there was no room for him this year.
