Starlin, Didi developing good chemistry
Much like a catcher and a starting pitcher, the shortstop and second baseman have a special relationship. Double play duos need a good rapport with each other in order to play day in and day out. It seems as if Didi Gregorius and Starlin Castro are developing some good chemistry. According to LoHud Yankees Blog, Castro is hanging around with Didi a lot in the early going of the season. "I'm with him all of the time," Castro said. "I've asked him everything because he comes from another team, too." Gregorius, of course, had to transition to the Bronx last year after spending his career in the National League, so the two of them have that in common. It's hard not to think about these two being together up the middle in the Bronx for the next decade. They're both 26 years old, separated by almost exactly one month. So far, Gregorius and Castro are hitting a combined .521 with three homers and nine RBI in three games. Not too bad for your eighth and ninth place hitters.
